Working With Stressful Thoughts In The Work we inquire into the stressful thoughts, concepts and beliefs that run through our minds all day long and we're not even aware of them. Then we live our lives as though these thoughts were actually true. This results in sadness, anger, frustration and fear. And from that place, we behave n ways that produce more sadness, anger and rear.
Stressful thoughts might look like the following:
- "My children should do what I ask them to do."
- "S/he doesn't listen to me."
- "They don't understand."
- "There shouldn't be war in this world."
- "I would be happier if I had more money."
- "They should appreciate me."
By taking these thoughts to inquiry with The Work we can end the internal stress and create more peace in our personal lives and the world.
About the Teleclass The focus of this teleclass is on learning about The Work through a variety of exercises that provide the personal experience necessary to really learn The Work and the simple yet profound changes that can be experienced. You will have numerous opportunities to fully experience the power of The Work in your own life and develop greater self-awareness. Not only will there be opportunities during class to experience The Work but there will be exercises you can do on your own and in partnership with other participants in the class.

- Experience the clarity and energy that is emerges when you realize for yourself that what you thought was true, isn’t.
- Learn a variety of exercises to use on your own in applying The Work.
About Maggie Maggie Carter is a personal life coach and a recognized consultant, a master facilitator, and a master trainer with more than 24 years of professional experience in education, organizational development and human resource development. She is a graduate of The School for The Work of Byron Katie and has been using The Work in her own life on a daily basis for over six years. She shares The Work with others through workshops, teleclasses and in her coaching practice.
